Easter vacation

Grandma came to visit for the holidays and we ended Caleb's first term with an Easter Parade. We then took a vacation up the coast to Port Stephens and Coffs Harbour.

We just got The Sound of Music. Seth loves it. I'm going to get the other Rogers and Hammerstein movies next.

I rented Madeline "The Wizard of Oz" a few days ago in preparation for seeing "Wicked," the musical. She LOVES the movie. (And really liked the musical too.) She's watched it three times. And Connor hung in there for the first two viewings, so it interested my six and four-year-olds. I hadn't seen it a very, very long time. So it held my interest a bit.

Homeward Bound (based on the Incredible Journey - this one is great), Babe (the pig movie - we all loved this as well), The Prince of Egypt, and any Disney animated film such as Aladdin or Beauty and the Beast, or even old stuff like Robin Hood or Lady and the Tramp. Winnie the Pooh classics (the 30-minute originals)were also a huge hit with my youngest.

Leslie: Stick w/ Disney, ..we wore them out in the old VHS days. How about Where the Red Fern Grows; also lots of the old Westerns were pretty good; Father Goose with Cary Grant; actually we enjoyed a lot of John Wayne and Cary Grant...w/ the boys
