Long story but our digital camara broke, so this means I may not be able to be in Boomama's tour of homes :( . But Doug (my brother) sent me pictures from his really fancy new digital camara of the family Yellowstone vacation, so I thought I'd post a few. He's pretty good at this sort of thing.
He sent lots of pictures of water with steam enveloping the wooden walkways. We were supposed to go on this trip, but as much as we missed them, I'm very glad I was not taking my toddler over those.
Anyway, Doug and Margaret just celebrated their 2nd anniversary a few days ago. He met Margaret at college and then met her again when he showed up on her parents doorstep (she was home that weekend) to recruit her dad for a ranching program through the Texas Agricultural Extension Service and Texas A&M that involved some accounting work. Margaret grew up helping her father with the cattle on the farm and she was an accountant. A perfect match. She even fishes.
Beautiful photos! Oh, how I want to go there. Maybe next summer. I want Connor (who's 3 1/2 now) to be old enough so that he remembers at least a little of it and so that I'm not in constant fear of him hurling himself over a cliff or something. (You know I'm not kidding.)
When you get your camera working, I want to see pictures of the pad. And thank you for your sweet comment on my post. I had no idea our bedroom color inspired a blue room or two in your old place.

Thanks Leslie! Don't be deceived by the waders - I prefer to sit and read and enjoy the peace of the surroundings. We really missed you all on the trip - Doug mentioned that before we had been in the cabin 10 minutes. But, you are right - I am not sure it would have been a "vacation" for you at all! I think a more kid friendly trip was discussed for the next Richardson vacation. Hope you are having a great weekend. Love, Margaret

Leslie, our family went to Yellowstone back when the kids were little; of all the trips we took, I'd say this one was the favorite for all of us. The wildlife, the little cabin we stayed in, the geysers, seeing Old Faithful blow on the 4th of July - we havent been back but plan to - too wonderful to only see once.
Hope you get your camera issue taken care of. Did Sarah tell you what GrayGray did to hers?
